Food Friday in Louth is held on the second Friday of every month, when food, drink and specialist produce traders join the regular market in Cornmarket. The Friday market runs from 9am to 3pm, and East Lindsey District Council runs it.
What Food Friday Is
Louth's regular market already runs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Food Friday is the day each month when the Friday market leans towards eating and cooking. The council describes it as a selection of food, drink and specialist produce traders, and there is no fixed line-up, so the stalls change from month to month.
When the Next Ones Are
The rule is the second Friday, so the next two fall on Friday 13th November and Friday 11th December 2026. Those dates come from counting Fridays, not from the council's list, so check the council's Food Friday and Farmers' Market dates for 2026 (PDF) before you plan around one.
Finding Out Who Is There
East Lindsey Markets usually posts the list of traders on its Facebook page the day before a market, along with news of any extra special markets. It is worth a look the evening before. Some traders leave early if they sell out, so go in the morning if there is something you really want.
Cash, Cards and Parking
Many traders take cards, but each business decides for itself and some take cash only. Bring both. The council says all its market towns have public car parks nearby, and its Louth car parking page has a map of them. Allow extra time on busy days.
Make a Morning of It
Cornmarket has places to sit down: Tina's Cafe and The Masons Arms are both there, and Alfredo Lounge is in Market Place. If you want the regular market's days, special markets and practical details in one place, see our Louth Market guide. The fourth Wednesday of the month has its own food-focused market too: read about the Louth Farmers' Market. For butchers and bakers you can visit any day, browse butchers and bakeries on inLouth.
