Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that two people lost their lives following a serious multi-vehicle collision on the A157 near Grimblethorpe, which happened on Sunday 15 March.
The collision took place on a straight section of the A157 just after Gayton le Wold, on the road heading towards Louth. Four vehicles were involved, a blue Peugeot 108, a grey MG 1300, a white BMW X3, and a black Volvo XC60, and a fifth vehicle also suffered damage as a result.
A 79-year-old woman from Mablethorpe, who was driving the grey MG 1300, was taken to hospital following the collision. Sadly, she passed away the following day. A four-year-old boy from Birmingham, who was a passenger in the black Volvo XC60, passed away on Monday 23 March.

Police Are Appealing for Witnesses
Investigators are working to piece together exactly what happened in the moments leading up to the collision. Lead Investigator Detective Sergeant Melissa Ablitt is asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam, CCTV, or any other recorded footage of either vehicle before the collision, to come forward.
