Grief doesn't follow a timetable, and there's no right way to feel after someone dies. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, there are people in Louth who understand and will make time for you.
St Barnabas Bereavement Support Group
A free, informal group where bereaved people can talk, listen and meet others who understand. St Barnabas volunteers are there to listen, and you can share as much or as little as you like. You don't need any connection with St Barnabas or its patients to go, and it doesn't matter when your bereavement happened.
- Who it's for: anyone affected by grief
- When: the first and third Wednesday of each month, 10am to noon
- Where: Louth Wellbeing Centre, Grimsby Road, Louth, LN11 0SX (free parking on site)
- Cost: free
- Booking: not needed
- Contact: St Barnabas on 0300 020 0694
- More information: the group on the St Barnabas website
After a Death by Suicide
Losing someone to suicide brings its own kind of grief, and it can help to meet people who've been through the same. Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) runs a monthly, face-to-face peer support group in the centre of Louth. Everyone who runs and attends it has been bereaved by suicide themselves.
- When and where: once a month in the centre of Louth (details are shared when you get in touch)
- Before you go: please contact the group first
