The Louth Christmas Market is on Sunday 29th November 2026, from 10am to 4pm, and this year it is run by Louth & District Lions. Entry is free, the stalls are full, and all proceeds go to local charities.

A Sunday in late November, a town full of stalls, and a good reason to leave the car at home for the afternoon. That is the plan for Louth's Christmas Market, which has a new organiser this year and, by the look of it, no spare room for anyone else.

A New Organiser for an Old Tradition

According to the Lions' own event page, the market has run in Louth for more than 30 years. Its future was in some doubt last year, so it is good news that Louth & District Lions agreed to take it on from 2026, working with local businesses, Louth Town Council and East Lindsey District Council.

The Lions are a registered charity, listed with the Charity Commission since 2020. Their own website says they run fundraising events and volunteer on local projects, including defibrillators, spectacle recycling and casino nights. They also say all the money raised under the Lions banner goes to good causes in the community.

What to Expect on the Day

The listing promises a range of festive gift, craft, and food and drink stalls, with family fun and entertainment alongside. The Lions haven't yet published who is performing or when, so check their Facebook page nearer the day if you want to plan around a particular act.

Entry is free. The Lions haven't named the charities that will benefit.

How Many Stalls Will There Be?

Stall applications are now closed. The Lions say they have reached the maximum number of stalls and won't accept any more. Earlier listings spoke of more than 80 food and craft stalls, while recent local coverage expects more than 100 vendors. The Lions haven't given a final count, so treat both as a rough guide to the size of the day.

Where Is It?

The Lions' page gives the date and time but no streets. Last year's market was listed in the Cornmarket in the town centre, but the layout can change from year to year, so look for an updated map or road closure notice on the Lions' Facebook page before you travel. The market falls on a Sunday, so it is also worth checking the bus times if you're coming in from the villages.

More From the Lions This Month

The Lions also have a charity bonfire and fireworks night at Deighton Close Fields on 7th November, which is listed on their events page. Find more dates, from Christmas shows to tribute nights, in What's On in Louth.
