Every business that joins inLouth gets its own page, researched, written and managed for you, with room for products, services, menus, events and articles, and features that depend on the level you choose.
You don't write anything, upload anything or learn a new system. You tell us about your business, and we build and look after the pages.
Your Business Page
Your page explains what you do, who it is for and how to get in touch, in plain language. It can include:
- a written description of your business and what makes it worth contacting
- your address, the areas you cover and opening hours, with today's hours picked out
- your phone number, mobile and website
- directions to you from wherever the visitor is
- the questions your customers usually ask, answered
- photographs of your premises, products or work
- reviews from customers, where you have them
Behind the scenes, the page carries the structured information search engines read: your business type, address, opening hours, contact details and the questions on the page. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Pages Connected to Yours
Depending on your package, your business can have more pages, each linked to your page and back:
- Products, each with a description, photograph, price and a link to buy from you
- Services, each explaining what is included, who it suits and how to book
- Menus, for cafés, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, with sections, prices, dietary labels and links to order or book
- Events, each with its own page, dates, venue and ticket link, shown on What's On and its calendar
- Articles on inLouth that mention your business, where a story is worth telling, such as a new menu, a move or an anniversary
Each of those pages can be found in search on its own, and each leads to you.
What Each Level Shows
There are three levels. Prices and how to order are on Be Found.
Basic Presence gives you your own page with a written description, your contact details, opening hours and directions, in your categories and in inLouth's search. Your website is a link; your phone number shows as text.
Full Page Presence adds the features that turn a visit into an enquiry: your phone number, website and social pages as links, a map, a message form that sends enquiries straight to your email, customer questions answered on the page, links to buy or book from your product and service pages, and links across inLouth to your page.
Authority Presence includes everything in Full Page, plus pages for up to 10 of your products or services, wider linking across the site, a "Featured" label and a place at the top of your category pages, and an @inlouth.co.uk email address.
Already Listed?
Many businesses in the area already appear on inLouth as a simple listing: a card on their category page with their name, address and contact details, drawn from public information. A paid page replaces the card with a full page of your own and everything above. If your listing needs correcting, use "Request an update" on it.
Written and Looked After for You
Pages are researched, written and checked by hand, using your information, your website and your social pages, and you see the important details before anything is published. When your hours, prices or services change, tell us and the pages are updated. When inLouth improves, your pages improve with it.

Do I have to write my business page myself?
You do not write anything yourself. Your page is researched and written for you, using information you provide, your website and your social pages. You check the important details before it is published.
Can my products and services have their own pages?
Products and services can have their own pages on inLouth, each linked to your business page. Each page explains what is on offer and links to where people can buy or book. The number included depends on your package.
Can my menu go on inLouth?

What is the difference between a listing and a business page?
A listing is a short card on a category page with a business's name, address and contact details. A business page is a full page of your own with a written description, opening hours, directions and answered questions. Paid levels add links, a map, a message form and connected pages.
Is my email address shown on my page?
Your email address is never shown on any public page. If your package includes the message form, visitors' messages are sent to your email without them seeing the address.
