Louth Council Jobs, Deadlines in September ’26

Louth Council Job Vacancies Deadline September 2026

Three Lincolnshire County Council jobs with a Louth base are open for applications, and the Community Care Officer post closes Sunday 6 September, so time is tight. A permanent Senior Business Support Assistant role at Riverhead House runs until 13 September. Here’s what each job involves and how to apply before the deadlines pass.

Three council jobs based in or around Louth are up for grabs right now, and one of them closes tomorrow. Lincolnshire County Council wants someone for a permanent business support post, plus two full-time roles in adult social care covering Louth and the wider East Lindsey area.

Don’t sit on any of these if they catch your eye. The council’s said it may bring closing dates forward if it gets a lot of applications, so get your paperwork in sooner rather than later.

Senior Business Support Assistant, Riverhead House

This one’s at Riverhead House on Victoria Road, right here in Louth. It’s permanent, 30 hours a week, sitting within the council’s Residential Homes Business Support team. Pay runs from £28,153 to £31,015, though whoever lands it will start at the bottom of that scale.

It’s senior admin work at heart. You’d be producing documents, helping supervise the team, dealing with senior managers, and coaching colleagues when needed. The council’s after someone with proper administration experience, who can manage their time well and handle themselves in front of customers, and who’s comfortable enough with Microsoft Office not to think twice about it.

Applications close Sunday 13 September 2026. Shortlisted candidates give a presentation at Riverhead House on Monday 28 September, with interviews on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September over Microsoft Teams. You’ll apply through the council’s careers website with a CV and covering letter, and the advice is to actually use your personal statement rather than treat it as a formality. Say why you want the job. Say how you fit what they’re asking for. Say what you’d bring that someone else wouldn’t.

Community Care Officer Level 2, two posts

There are two full-time Community Care Officer roles too, and this is the one to move on fast. One sits with the Louth and Market Rasen Area Team, working out of the Louth office. The other’s with the East Review Team, where you could end up based in Louth, Boston or Skegness. If you’re applying, say which one you’d rather have.

It’s hands-on work. You’d carry out care needs assessments and reviews for adults dealing with disability, long-term health conditions or frailty, then build support plans around what they actually need. That means talking to families, working with other agencies, and stepping in on safeguarding concerns when they come up. There’s travel involved too, since the job’s out in the community rather than behind a desk.

The closing date is Sunday 6 September 2026. If this is the one for you, get moving today rather than leaving it to the last minute. Interview dates haven’t been set yet. For an informal chat, the listing gives John Smith as the contact, on john.smith@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

Getting your application in

Full job descriptions and application forms for both roles are on the Lincolnshire County Council careers website. Always check the live listing before you apply, since details and closing dates can shift without much warning.

Different jobs, different worlds really. One’s tucked away in the admin that keeps residential care ticking over, the other’s out knocking on doors and sitting with families. Either way, if you’re looking for work in Louth, these are worth a proper look before the deadlines catch up with you.
