East Lindsey District Council offers several active funding routes for local groups and businesses, including councillor-allocated community grants of up to £4,000 per ward for 2025/26, alongside the East Lindsey Investment Fund and GRASSroots scheme. The district has also recently opened a new coastal community hub in Mablethorpe, built with £8.6 million of government investment.

If you’re part of a local group, charity or community organisation, there’s funding available right now through the Councillors’ Community Grants Scheme for 2025/26.
Each councillor has £4,000 to allocate to not-for-profit projects in their ward, covering everything from building improvements and IT equipment to event costs and staff training.
To qualify, your group needs to be formally constituted and based in East Lindsey, and your project needs to support at least one of the council’s priorities around growth, community safety, healthy lives or the environment. If that sounds like something you’re working on, it’s worth making contact with your local councillor sooner rather than later.
The East Lindsey Investment Fund and GRASSroots grant scheme are also worth bookmarking. They’ve already backed more than a hundred community facilities and hundreds of local businesses across the district, so if the councillor grants scheme isn’t the right fit, there may be another route in.
