Wolds Wildlife Park is on Louth Road, Horncastle, on the road from Louth. It's home to a wide variety of animals, including African lions, Bengal tigers, snow and African leopards, Eurasian brown bears, spotted hyenas, camels, lemurs, monkeys and macaws.
How It Started
Owners Andrew and Tracy began their collection in 2013 with a young zebra called Marty, and many of the animals have been rehomed from other collections. The park first opened to the public for two days in 2018, and gained its full zoo licence in December 2019.
Visiting
Wide concrete paths run around all the exhibits, so it's easy going with a wheelchair or pushchair. Tickets can be booked online, and the park offers animal experiences and memberships. Opening times change through the year, so check the park's website before you go.
