Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary & Wildlife Centre

Seal sanctuary and wildlife rescue centre at North End, Mablethorpe, with rescued seals, lynx, gibbons and meerkats

Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary & Wildlife Centre is on Quebec Road at North End, Mablethorpe, on the Lincolnshire coast. It's dedicated to protecting and rehabilitating seals and other wildlife: the team rescues injured or orphaned animals, cares for them and releases them back into the wild where they can.

The Residents

Alongside the rescued seals, you can meet the sanctuary's other residents, including lynx, gibbons and meerkats. The sanctuary also works with schools and runs special days through the year.

Visiting

There's a café and a shop, and tickets can be booked online. Every visit helps fund the sanctuary's rescue and conservation work.

To see grey seals in the wild, the colony at Donna Nook, north of Mablethorpe, has its pups in November and December.
