The Midweek Roast runs every Wednesday and comes in two sizes, a medium at £12.50 and a large at £15.50. Each one includes two meats, changing week to week, alongside homemade roast potatoes, vegetables, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing balls and gravy.
There’s one detail worth knowing before you plan around it. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, and during the first week that happened remarkably fast. The team will no doubt be adjusting quantities after that lesson, but turning up early or ringing ahead would still be the sensible move.

Friday brings a separate fish menu. Battered cod and breaded scampi are both £12.95, served with chips, mushy peas, a lemon wedge and tartare sauce, while lighter options come in at £8.50 with a choice of cod goujons, chicken goujons, cod bites, chicken bites or scampi, again with chips and mushy peas. Bread and butter, white or malted, is £2.50 on the side.
It’s a straightforward Friday lunch menu, but there’s enough choice for anyone after fish and chips without wanting a full-sized portion.
The Share It Platter for Two
The new Share It Platter is priced at £37 for two people, and they haven’t held back. It comes with two beef burgers, two sausage rolls, quiche wedges, chicken goujons, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, rustic fries, roasted Mediterranean vegetables, pickles and a selection of dips. That works out at £18.50 a head.
It’s the kind of option that suits a leisurely lunch, two people who can’t agree what they fancy, or someone who’d rather try a bit of everything than commit to one dish.

The seasonal menu goes beyond the three headline dishes. Tabula Rasa says its homemade chillies, stews and other winter warmers have also been selling well since launch.
That first week was always meant to help the team judge quantities and see which dishes would prove popular, so a few hiccups were inevitable. Some dishes weren’t ready in time, food ran out faster than expected, and their baker was unwell for part of the week. That’s rather the point of a soft launch though.
