If you’ve been looking for a reason to get outside and make the most of what’s on your doorstep, this is it. The Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival is back for 2026, running from 16th to 31st May across the Wolds National Landscape, and Louth is one of the locations right in the middle of it.
Over 100 events and activities take place across a multitude of locations during the two-week festival, with many of them free or available at a reduced cost. West Lindsey District Council That’s not nothing. It means most people can turn up and get involved without it costing much, if anything.
The programme covers cycling, fishing, golf, bushcraft, water sports, art, gliding, yoga, wellness sessions, archery and axe throwing, LincolnshireWorld among other things. So whether you’re after something gentle or something that’ll get your heart rate up, there’s probably something in there for you.
It’s also genuinely good for families. Many of the events are accessible for children, pushchairs, wheelchairs, and dogs on leads, East Lindsey District Council so it’s not one of those festivals where half the group has to sit things out.
The Wolds themselves are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and for anyone who lives nearby and hasn’t spent much time exploring them properly, the festival is a decent nudge to do exactly that. Activities take place across Alford, Caistor, Horncastle, Louth, Market Rasen, Spilsby and Wragby, Visit Lincolnshire so there’s no shortage of options regardless of where you’re based.
Some activities do require booking in advance, so it’s worth having a look at the full programme sooner rather than later.
